AIR & HYDRONIC BALANCING

Testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) is a process where arir and hydronic flows in a building are measured, adjusted, and documented to meet design specifications and local building codes.  To ensure thermal comfort, indoor air quality and system energy efficiency are optimized.

ANNUAL CRITICAL ROOM INSPECTIONS

Healthcare facilities rely on precise air balancing for safety and sanitation.  Proper airflow and pressure are crucial to keep the air clean and prevent the spread of illness in operating rooms, isolation rooms, sterile process and decontamination rooms.  We're equipped and ready to ensure hospitals maintain optimal airflow for a healthy environment and are in compliance with FGI guidelines in accordance to ASHRAE Standard 170. Trust us to help you pass annual inspections with flying colors.

FIRE LIFE SAFETY COMPONENTS

The HVAC system's fire smoke safety components will be tested per NFPA 80 standards and codes. Examples of fire life safety components are: fire smoke dampers, the smoke control system, fire smoke door/vent, and stairwell pressurization systems. Fire smoke damper inspections should be performed one year after construction and every 4 years after that. Testing in hospitals is required every 6 years, while fire smoke door/vent testing is recommended annually or per your local fire marshal.

FUME HOOD TESTING

Fume hood testing and certification performed in accordance with ASHRAE 110.  As part of the certification process velocity measurements will be taken and documented.  Local visualization smoke tests will be performed using smoke tubes and a large volume smoke machine.  According to OSHA standards fume hood testing should be perfomed at a minimum of an annual basis.

IAQ TESTING (VENTILATION VERIFICATION)

Our team will provide a thorough indoor air quality survey of the facility. Through occupant interviews, ventilation airflow (outdoor air), and VOC testing. If problems are identified we work closely with the building's owner or manager. To provide the best resolution for the situation. Benefits of IAQ testing include; a more productive work environment, better comfort, and legal documentation of a healthy building.
